It’s time to plan your day at MNxMN 2019: Beyond the Vote!

Note: This page is for registered attendees to sign up for individual sessions. If you are a presenter or exhibitor, please check your ticket details for information on how to attend sessions.

As a registered attendee, you may now sign up for the specific sessions you want to attend.  Everyone will be able to attend the Opening Session, Lunch, and our closing program. There are breaks throughout the day so that you can visit our local organizations in the exhibit halls.

The sessions are small-group workshops to create an intimate, interactive space where real hands-on learning and networking can happen. Space is limited, so sign up early and save your seat.

Sessions progress throughout the day along the following themes (coded by color):

  • Understanding the Issues

  • Skills for Effective Activism

  • Community Building

Important Scheduling Tips

  1. Seating in workshops is limited to allow for interactive learning and building community. They will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. On the day of the event, ticket holders are welcome to attend any sessions that are not at capacity, regardless of registration, rush-ticket style. This is also how exhibitors and volunteers will be attending sessions.
  2. During breaks and lunch, remember to visit the organizations in our exhibit halls. Also NEW THIS YEAR:
    Gathering Spaces: Reflect & Connect
Some are ALL DAY unscheduled time to talk, think, act & relax with others, outside of break-out workshops), and
Some are FACILITATED over lunch and during the first afternoon session. Participate in shorter,  hands-on activities,  role-playing, and self-care to kick off your afternoon!
  3. You can use your link to change your session on this page up until Friday, February 22  at 5pm.
  4. Help us reduce paper waste. Download your personal schedule, or bring your mobile device with you to have your schedule handy on-site.
  5. All available electronic files for posted sessions will be available to all MNxMN 2019: Beyond the Vote ticket holders, even for sessions you don’t attend.
  6. All session times, content, speakers and availability are subject to change. If a session you are registered for gets canceled or changes times, you will be notified by email. If that occurs, we will make every effort to help you get into an alternative session of your choice, even if the session you want is already full.

If you have any questions about scheduling your day, please email us at programs@mnxmn.org

Courts Matter: You Be The Judge SPOTS AVAILABLE

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Limited Capacity seats available

Courts affect every issue we care about, from voting rights to separation of religion and state, from abortion rights to LGBTQ rights. The judges serving in lifetime seats on the bench interpret the law and, for better or for worse, decide what it means. In addition to filling judicial vacancies, it is important to know who is being nominated. Having a federal bench that represents the diversity of our nation is important. Both demographic and professional diversity on the federal bench improves the quality of justice and confidence that judges understand the real-world implications of their decisions. Today’s presentation will demonstrate first-hand just how much courts matter. We will break up into small groups, where we will then present a real-life case for your group to deliberate on and decide.
